Reiki is a natural, holistic, healing method that originated in Japan at the turn of the 20th Century. But, it only began to be practiced as a therapy in Western nations from the mid 1970’s
By placing hands on different parts of a fully clothed person, and encouraging the natural flow of “life” through a human’s anatomy, healing can be affected. This natural flow, when moving freely, carries all of the bodies “built in” healing functions allowing us to detoxify, repair, fix, and balance, ourselves in the most efficient of ways possible.
Reiki can be used successfully in many different situations including:
- Hospice care
- Terminal disease
- Post surgery
- Injury recovery
- Emotional distress
- Times of high stress or anxiety
Many people seek treatments as a means to do nothing more than relax and take some time for themselves.
Tim Redgewell DipHyp, DipHT is a certified independent Reiki Master Teacher & Practitioner. He has been actively practicing the method of Usui Shiki Ryoho for 13 years. He offers both treatments to individuals and and small groups, and teaches others how to practice and develop the skills of Reiki to anybody that is interested in learning. Tim has treatment experience in many conditions ranging from Parkinson’s disease, nerve & muscle damage, and broken bones to post surgical convalescence & pain management, anxiety attacks, and stress reduction.

Reiki for Pets
Reiki is not just for us…
But our pets and animals too!
All domestic animals respond incredibly well to the calming, healing effects of Reiki. Once an animal has experienced Reiki healing they quickly learn that when they feel ill, are hurt, or just feel “off” that Reiki is helping them and will actively seek the attention of those skilled in the art.
Tim has nearly a decade of experience in successfully treating pets, and animls, of all sizes from:
- Cats & kittens
- Dogs & puppies
- Goats & Kids
- Small mammals (mice, rats, hamsters etc)
If you want to add Reiki to your pet, or animal’s, health care regime
Tim & his family own and operate a small hobby farm where pets and stock animals play a major role. He personally attends to all of them on a daily basis using Reiki and holistic principles as part of their health care.
